چکیده

The purpose of this study was to explore the effectiveness combined one-stage reconstruction extensive complex defects lower limb tissues and analyze postoperative complications. Material methods . research involved 25 patients with bone soft tissue extremities. first group included 16 patients, where replacement soft-tissue leg carried out one bone-skin graft. second consisted 9 who, along major tibia, had concomitant damage tissues. To replace defects, autotransplantation technique 2 free flaps, (combined) used. Results discussion In our study, we analyzed early late complications, as well average time fusion graft recipient bed restoration supportability. did not observe any critical complications in period that would affect results patient`s treatment. increase incidence vascular is statistically significant. (30 days or more), stress fractures fibular graft, traumatic fracture delayed consolidation ends lasting more than 6 months were observed both groups patients. these comparable groups, there no significant differences. supportability have Conclusion. One-stage deep by using an appropriate combination two vascularized grafts (bone tissue) provides a complete without increasing frequency occurrence (total necrosis flaps wound infection process).

Perforator Flaps for Reconstruction of Lower Limb Defects

BACKGROUND Reconstruction of soft tissue defects in the lower third of the leg remains challenging. Anatomical constraints limit the local options available for complex defects especially lower third of leg. Local flaps based on perforator vessels are raising interest in reconstructive surgery of the limbs. We present our experience with perforator flaps for reconstruction of soft tissue def...

Vascularized Flaps versus Free Grafts in Endoscopic Reconstruction of Large Skull Base Defects

Background: The last decades have witnessed remarkable progress in the field of endoscopic skull base surgery. The nose has become an established route for addressing different skull base lesions. The reconstruction after resection is a critical step for optimum surgical outcome. Objective: Evaluation of the difference in the clinical outcomes between the use of vascularized flaps and free graf...

Reconstruction of soft tissue and bone defects in lower extremity with free flaps.

This article reports our experiences treating soft tissue and bone defects in the lower extremity with free flaps. One of the most common causes for lower extremity wounds are high-energy injuries. These kinds of injuries contain soft tissue and bone defects beyond neurovascular complications. The rate of infection and nonunion is very high in these injuries. Between 1988 and 1996, we applied 3...

Tissue engineered prefabricated vascularized flaps.

UNLABELLED BACKGROUND.: Microvascular free tissue transfer has become increasingly popular in the reconstruction of head and neck defects, but it also has its disadvantages. Tissue engineering allows the generation of neo-tissue for implantation, but these tissues are often avascular. We propose to combine tissue-engineering techniques together with flap prefabrication techniques to generate a ...

One stage reconstruction of large lower lip carcinoma, with local flaps

Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the lower lip is a frequently diagnosed malignant pathology in the maxillofacial region. It is a slow-growing cancer, and can be diagnosed and treated easily and effectively; however, early treatment is important because its mortality rate is 10% 30%. Reconstruction for a large lower lip defect is surgically challenging, especially reconstruction with local flap...
